Morrish/Bower Workshop - STRUT Dance

Morrish and Bower first met during the inaugural MoveMe Improvisation Festival in 2014. Coming from diverse backgrounds, one more centred in theatre and the other in dance, these great artists are now intrigued and excited to share how those practices collide. Morrish and Bower will both teach, facilitate and mentor. However, during the workshop your own work will become increasingly individuated. This is so that you can focus on a particular area of exploration, individually or in small collaborative groups.

we will move,

we will talk

we will speak

we will improvise

we will write

we will perform.

we will be busy and excited!

This workshop is suitable for both dance and theatre practitioners interested in a rich exploration of ways in which movement and language can work together in performance.

The workshop will conclude with performances in the Studio Underground of the State Theatre Centre of WA. Timothy was selected to perform in seven out of the fourteen presented works.

"The workshop must have been a seminal encounter for the participants, as they traded talents and were coached in the art of impudence by Bower and Morrish"
